about

Here is the highly anticipated title track from Tim Pourbaix's sophomore album, Stumble - due for a release at the end of the year.

Tim Pourbaix has been playing music in New York City’s underground singer-songwriter community for the past decade, steadily earning himself a dedicated cult following. In his most recent collection of songs entitled, Stumble, Pourbaix brought on his long time collaborator and music producer, Quinn McCarthy. McCarthy crafted the soundscapes for Pourbaix’s fervent acoustic expressions led by lyrics of subconscious doorways, mystical sunsets and hypnotizing whispers. On Stumble, Pourbaix graciously enters our hearts with compelling stories of love, self-discovery, sorrow and recovery.

Pourbaix has performed at CMJ, SXSW and has music placed in two indie films, Lonely Boys (2016) and Sweet Parents (2017). On his journey from stage to stage, Tim has opened up shows for Donovan Woods, Dan Layus, Esme Patterson, Shovels & Rope, Gregory Alan Isakov and Nathaniel Rateliff.

“Pourbaix paints an elaborate, yet delicate, picture for the listener.”

lyrics

Stumble

I don’t
Want to go
Out the way
You expect me to go
Try just to last
Because I know
I must last

I won’t forget
Who it was
Make me open my own doors
That shut right behind
Me as I stumble
I stumble on in

There’s this place
A place we go
It is a place
Of answers
You know we’ll always get that seat
Stone bench alone at day break

I won’t forget
Who it was
Make me open my own doors
That shut right behind
Me as I stumble
I stumble on in
Me as I stumble
I stumble on in

I won’t forget
Who it was
Make me open my own doors
That shut right behind
Me as I stumble
I stumble on in
Me as I stumble
I stumble on in
Me as I stumble
I stumble on in
